What is Uploadir?
Uploadir is a simple file-sharing service. Upload a file, receive a link and share it.
Is Uploadir free?
Yes. Uploading and sharing files is free.
Do I need an account?
No. You can upload and share files without creating an account.
What is the maximum file size?
Each file can be up to 100 MB.
What file types can I upload?
Uploadir supports almost all file types.
How long do files stay online?
A file remains online if it receives at least one successful view or download every six months.
When are inactive files deleted?
Files with no successful views or downloads for six months may be removed.
What counts as file activity?
A successful view or download resets the file’s six-month inactivity period.
Who can access my files?
Anyone with the direct file link can access the file.
Are uploaded files publicly searchable?
No. Uploadir does not provide a public file directory or search engine.
Can I upload multiple files?
Yes. You can select and upload multiple files.
Can I replace a file after uploading it?
No. An uploaded file cannot currently be replaced or modified.
Can I delete an uploaded file?
Upload management and manual deletion will be introduced with user accounts.
Are files transferred securely?
Yes. Files are transferred using encrypted HTTPS connections.
Where are files stored?
Files are stored using secure cloud infrastructure.
Does Uploadir have an API?
Not yet. A public upload API is planned.
Will Uploadir offer user accounts?
Yes. Planned accounts will include higher limits and file-management features.
Can I upload executable files?
Uploadir supports almost all file types, but users should only download files from people they trust.
Can I upload copyrighted material?
Only upload files you own or have permission to distribute.
How do I report an illegal or abusive file?
Submit the direct file link through the Report Abuse page.
Why was my file removed?
Files may be removed because of inactivity, abuse, legal requests or violations of Uploadir’s terms.
Does Uploadir collect personal information?
An account is not required, but limited technical information may be logged for security and abuse prevention.
